The Academy of Rural Life

The Smith’s Museum

The designation of the museum in this case is not quite right, because in fact the whole farm of the Smiths hides pearls from the olden days. This place was created thanks to the collector’s passion of Marian, who has long collected old, no longer needed equipment, tools and agricultural machines. Along with the growing number of exhibits, the house also expanded – new rooms were created from year to year, and now there are 12 of them. The whole collection includes about two thousand items. These are the old pieces of equipment found in country cottages, including: washing machines, a 120-year-old mangle from the Monastery in Bagno, irons, sewing machines, kitchen vessels, kitchens, oil lamps, as well as agricultural tools and machines, such as: old harrows, scythes, plows, chaff cutters, linen processing machines and textile workshops. At the Smith’s Museum we can also admire old folk music instruments, a room with clocks, fire and military equipment, as well as many other items. In the heritage park, there is a house of bread with a kitchen and bread stove used for home baking, as well as an old forge in which, during the presentation, the smith strikes iron.

 The Academy of Rural Life

The purpose of our academy is to combine the pleasant with the useful. We want to educate, but above all, create the perfect conditions for an active and enjoyable time. The host is a nice man, who will impress each visitor with his stories.
